We have had a fantastic week in 5S! This afternoon, the children worked on a collaborative art project involving re-creating Vincent Van Gogh's "Starry Night". We read a story about Van Gogh, discussed his techniques and how he expressed himself artistically through use of colour. The children then each received a cut out square from a poster of "Starry Night". They used oil pastels to create their portion of the masterpiece. When we put them all together we will have our very own 5S Starry Night. I was very proud of how diligently the children worked on their pieces and the finished products are wonderful.Reminders:
