To follow up on the children's homework assignment last night, we watched a DVD on the Group of Seven and then the children used laptops to search for more information on the Group of Seven. Each child found their favourite Group of Seven image and we toured around the classroom pretending we were visiting an art gallery :) We will be doing more work on The Group of Seven in conjunction with our Development of Canada unit in Social Studies.
Some reminders for next week:
- Please look over and sign your child's Socials Unit Test (in their bags tonight) and return to school on Monday
- Our trip to Fort Langley is on Tuesday 6th October. The children should be dressed in weather appropriate clothing. We will be both indoors and outdoors so layering would be beneficial.
